Nags Head Bridge Closure

Here is a bit of news for the website. There are currently notices posted at the railway bridge in Nags Head Lane announcing that the road under the bridge will be closed to traffic from 29 May 2007 to 1 June 2007. Barney called Bucks CC's 'Highways on call' number, and predictably they were as much use as a chocolate teapot. After endless repetitions of his questions to the rather dim girl at the other end of the line, he managed to discover that:

1. The closure is so that they can paint some chevrons on the road under the bridge.

2. Bucks CC do not have any information as to whether or not pedestrian access through the tunnel will be affected, but they presume not.

3. Diversions will be signed from the A 4128 to the London Road.
