Accident in Wychwood Rise

Barney (No 1) arrived home around 3 p.m. this afternoon to find police vehicles and blue flashing lights at the bottom of Wychwood Rise, together with 2 crumpled cars. He spoke to the police officers who told him that some young lads in the black Ford Fiesta Zetec had come round the corner at the bottom of the road a little too fast, had skidded on the ice, and had collided with a stationary black BMW parked at the bottom of Wychwood Rise, before embedding themselves in the garden wall of Number 2. The driver was taken to hospital by ambulance for stitches to a cut head, but was back later to visit his friend in the road. A hard lesson for a driver who had only passed his driving test earlier in the day.
This accident is further evidence that this is not a good place to park your car. The damaged BMW was 'recovered' at the request of the Police.
